The Defense Business Board’s second quarterly meeting for the financial year 2023 was held right at the Pentagon by Deputy Secretary of Defense Dr. Kathleen Hicks.

Susanna Blume, the Director of Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation( CAPE ), joined her.

The main strategic defence initiatives that support the President’s Fiscal Year 2024 Budget were briefed to board members during the procedure by the Deputy Secretary and CAPE Director.

The budget, which recognizes the People’s Republic of China as the moving problem, is aligned with the National Defense Strategy, the lieutenant secretary noted. The funding demand calls for financing for the essential elements that will keep our country safe while also providing the world’s most deadly, resilient, agile, and responsive Joint Force.

The committee members’ time and expertise were devoted to enhancing Department of Defense business practices, leadership, and culture, Deputy Secretary Hicks thanked.
