Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III announced today that the president has made the following nomination:
Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Christopher J. Mahoney for appointment to the grade of general, with assignment as assistant commandant of the Marine Corps, Washington, D.C. Mahoney is currently serving as deputy commandant for Programs and Resources, Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps, Washington, D.C.
