Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III announced today that the president has made the following nominations:
Air Force Maj. Gen. Shawn N. Bratton for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as deputy chief of space operations for Strategy, Plans, Programs, and Requirements, Headquarters, United States Space Force, Washington, D.C. Bratton is currently serving as the commander, Space Training and Readiness Command, Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado.
Air Force Maj. Gen. Michael J. Lutton for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as deputy commander, Air Force Global Strike Command, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. Lutton is currently serving as commander, Twentieth Air Force, F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming.
