LOS ANGELES — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Los Angeles Field Office removed an unlawfully present foreign fugitive wanted in Honduras for murder Nov. 18.
Noel Hernandez-Molina, aka Cristobal Molina, 40, was arrested by ERO Los Angeles ERO Foreign Fugitive officers, Dec. 22, 2021, pursuant to a targeted enforcement operation in Ontario, California. The ERO team received a lead referral identifying Hernandez as the subject wanted on behalf of the Government of Honduras for the offense of murder. Hernandez was in the U.S. unlawfully, having entered the U.S. without inspection on an unknown date and at unknown location. An immigration judge with the Justice Department’s Executive Office for Immigration Review issued a final order of removal for Hernandez on May 11.
“Hernandez came to the U.S. knowing he was wanted for murder in Honduras. Believing he could simply evade justice and hide among us was a mistake our ERO Los Angeles teams corrected. Our actions today will ensure he no longer takes shelter on our streets but faces the consequences of his terrible actions,” said ERO Los Angeles Field Office Director Thomas Giles.
On Nov. 18, Hernandez was flown from Los Angeles to Honduras on a flight coordinated by ICE’s Air Operations Unit. Upon arrival, the fugitive was turned over to Honduran officials.
Members of the public who have information about foreign fugitives are urged to contact ICE by calling the ICE Tip Line at 866-DHS-2-ICE or internationally at 001-1802-872-6199. They can also file a tip online by completing ICE’s online tip form.
