MO. KANSAS CITY A Blue Springs man who witnessed the sexual abuse of a 7-year-old child electronically was sentenced in federal court on June 22 for his part in the plot to produce evidence of child sex abuse. The case was looked into by Homeland Security Investigations ( HSI ) and the Western Missouri Cybercrimes Task Force.
U.S. District Judge Stephen R. Bough gave Justin W. Hardin, 46, a 27-year, three-month national jail sentence without word. Additionally, the judge ordered Hardin to serve the remainder of his life in prison on supervised transfer.
On February 2, 2023, Hardin entered a guilty plea to one count of conspiracy to make child sex, two counts of receiving it over the internet, one charge of disseminating it, and one conviction of possessing it.
According to court records, investigators located a person who was digitally posting pictures and videos of his physical abuse and rape of an 8-year-old woman. Between August 1 and September 3, 2019, Hardin engaged in several chats with this person on Google Hangouts. Hardin watched the person’s physical abuse and rape of the baby prey in real time during the chats. Additionally, Hardin asked the person to write” Abbi Dillon ,” his online screen name, on the child’s body as the abuse was taking place.
On September 11, 2019, law enforcement personnel took Hardin’s phone. A criminal investigation found proof of the reception and submission of child sexual abuse materials, as well as pictures showing the victim’s sexual assault at the age of 7 years old.
In a different control, the person who sexually assaulted the child was given consecutive sentences of 155 months for murder and 25 years in prison for violations of their child’s indecent liberties.
The event was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Catherine A. Connelly.

It is led by the practices of U.S. prosecutors and the Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section of the Criminal Division.
