An enforcement and removal operations ( ERO ) operation in Washington, D.C. resulted in the conviction of a Salvadoran national for reentering the country illegally after being removed. El Salvador native Victor Manuel Romero-Diaz was found guilty on April 14 in Richmond at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Romero-Diaz could receive a maximum sentence of ten years in prison. His punishment is expected to take place on September 5, 2023.
