Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III spoke with Ukrainian Minister of Defence Oleksii Reznikov to discuss the outcomes of today’s virtual Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG) meeting and security assistance priorities going forward. Secretary Austin has now convened 12 of these meetings over more than a year to coordinate security assistance with some fifty partner nations in support of Ukraine.
The two leaders pledged to remain in close contact.
